Service Call Policy

A service call is defined as an on-site visit to a customer’s residence or business location by an ABC Appliance Repair technician for the purpose of diagnosing and evaluating kitchen or laundry appliances. The service call fee covers technician travel, time on site, diagnostic procedures, and professional assessment of the appliance(s).

Service Call Fee Obligation

The standard service call fee is due and payable when a technician is dispatched and arrives on site, regardless of outcome. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Customer elects not to proceed with repair after diagnosis
  • No mechanical or electrical faults are found
  • Appliance is determined to be operating within manufacturer specifications
  • Repair is declined for any reason

Repair Authorization

Repairs will only be performed after customer authorization. If the customer declines a repair at the time of the service visit, only the service call fee will be collected.

Deferred Repair Decisions

If the customer chooses not to approve the repair at the time of diagnosis and later requests repair service, the full FLAT RATE repair cost is in effect. The previous paid service call WOULD NOT be discounted from repair estimate.

Repair Cost 

Cost is FLAT RATE pricing, meaning we do not provide an itemized breakdown of any or all parts or labor cost. 

Payment Terms 

Payment for service calls are due at the time of visit.

For repairs completed on the same day payment is due at completion of repair.

Repairs completed on a different day due to part availability require a non-refundable 50% deposit, the other 50% is due at time of repair completion.

Limitation of Liability

ABC Appliance Repair is not responsible for pre-existing conditions, manufacturer defects, or failures occurring after service completion that are unrelated to the performed repair. Diagnostic findings are based on conditions present at the time of inspection.

Customer Acknowledgment

By scheduling service with ABC Appliance Repair, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined in this Service Call Policy.
